One of PICYA's primary charitable events that annually offers about 300 institutionalized local veterans a day on the Bay which includes a 2 hour boat ride in PICYA member clubs donated boats and their skippers.  Followed by a luncheon BBQ and music by the water on Encinal Yacht Clubs beautiful green lawn overlooking the Alameda Estuary.

The success of this event depends on PICYA's member clubs volunteers and the community for in kind and cash donations:

Veteran Swag Bags: personal care items, candy, snacks, slippers, socks, hats, small puzzles and games

Skipper Appreciation Bags:  bottles of wine, small boat related items or apparel for skippers who donate their time and boats to take out the veterans.

Cash Donations: to purchase supplies, food and drinks for the 600 veterans, care givers and volunteer helpers who will be present for the event.

Volunteers:  many volunteers are needed ashore to assist in welcoming, boarding, preparing and serving lunch, set up and tear down.
